ROBERTS, Margaret Theresa

Celebrating A Life Well Lives It is with profound sadness and deep love that our family announces the passing of our dear aunt, Margaret Theresa Roberts, who left us on July 26, 2026 at the age of eighty three. Born in Prince Edward Island, Margie moved to Ontario at a young age.   Although she lived a wonderful life in Ontario, P.E.I. always held a special place in Margie’s heart. A shining   beacon of light in the Weston community, Margie dedicated her life to uplifting others and making her community a better place. Known for her kindness, compassion, and devotion to others, Margie spent countless hours volunteering with Weston Area Emergency Support Food Bank and the Buttonwood Catholic Pastoral Services at West Park Hospital. Her tireless efforts and compassionate spirit touched the lives of so many people over the years. Everything Margie did, she did with an open heart and a joyful spirit. She was humbled by the numerous awards she received for her decades of community service, most notably the Governor General of Canada Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers Award in 2017. Beyond her outstanding community service, Margie was a dearly devoted daughter, a loving sister, a cherished aunt, and a source of comfort and inspiration to friends and loved ones. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of kindness, resilience, and love. Margie especially loved her daily morning walks in Cruickshank Park with her diverse crew of dog walkers and her beloved fur baby Lucy. To her family, Margie was forever an island in a storm; the person you could rely on for comfort, support, and unconditional love, no matter the circumstances. Although scattered across the country, Margie had a way of making each of her nieces and nephews feel special and deeply loved. She never forgot a single birthday, and was always thrilled to hear their voice on the phone. Margie will be forever remembered by her dear brother Frank Roberts; her sister-in-law Emma (Costello) Roberts; her nieces and nephews Keith Kickham, Karen (Kickham) McGuigan, Terry Dean Kickham, Shane Roberts, Trevor Roberts, Naomi Roberts, Kathy Roberts-Liesemer, Brenda Roberts-Santarossa, and Terry Roberts. Margie was a very “Special Aunt” to Taylor Roberts. Margie will be deeply missed by her friends at the Weston Foodbank, and lifelong friends who become family - Hilda (McManus) Mulligan, Marjorie Bland, and Tina Claybourn. Margie was predeceased by her parents, David and Marguerite (Driscoll) Roberts; her brother Joseph Roberts; her sister Mary (Roberts) Kickham-Bradley; her sister -in- law Muriel (Villard) Roberts; and her nephew Richard Roberts. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Margie’s memory on August 7th, 2026 at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur, Ontario at 1pm. All are invited to gather for food and fellowship at the Arthur Legion (281 George Street) directly after the   service. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Margie’s spirit of service by volunteering your time, making a donation to the Weston Area Emergency Support Food Bank, or by donating to a local food bank. May her legacy of kindness and generosity to others live on through us.
