Driving in winter presents challenges for many drivers. However, it is apparent not all drivers are driving according to the rules of the road, proper etiquette or common sense.

Drivers speeding, going too slow, swerving, not paying attention, being inebriated, or perhaps experiencing a low blood sugar are common complaints.

In Minto, residents can report unsafe driving through the Road Watch program initiated by the Minto Safe Community Committee and agreed upon by Minto council in 2012. The committee raised funds to post signs throughout Minto reminding citizens to take action.

Anyone seeing a motorist engaged in dangerous driving is urged to fill out a form available at the three libraries in Minto, Service Ontario, and at www.roadwatch.ca. The information on the forms is shared with the OPP.
