A last-minute addition to last month’s Centre Wellington council session was more a matter of housekeeping in the ongoing efforts to continue work on Landmark’s Elora Mill redevelopment.

Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj said the item was added because it was a time-sensitive matter.

In December, councillors here had passed a bylaw to exempt part of the Landmark Group’s property from part lot control.

The bylaw was to provide the conveyance of part of the property to a separate corporation, known as the Elora Power Corporation, to operate its proposed water power facility.

Although the bylaw was passed by council and approved by the Wellington County planning department, the township solicitor noted an error in the documentation and recommended passage of a replacement bylaw.
