Review consultant hired
Wellington North Council will be seeking advice from a firm specializing in human resources when it goes to review senior staff.
Council decided at its meeting Monday evening to hire Waterloo firm Simon and Associates for its expertise when it comes to performance reviews of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Lori Heinbuch.
The decision was deferred from a meeting in December and approved by council Monday.
Councillor Andy Lennox has called for outside expertise when it comes to reviewing the performance of the township’s top staff. The township will continue to use the services of Connie Van Andel, of Barcon Consulting, for general reviews of other staff.
It’s expected councillors will also be trained on how to handle performance reviews.
“Simon & Associates will perform performance appraisal of our CAO,” Lennox said on Monday evening.
