Residents got notice; taxes due March 23
Finance director Mike Givens did not have a lengthy report at council’s meeting last month, but he did have something to say of interest to many people.
Givens said in mid February “Tax bills will be mailed by the end of the week.”
He added the first installments are due on March 23 this year.
Mayor Bruce Whale wondered about the budget being set. Givens said council would get the proposals as soon as the department heads and management team can do that.
Clerk Patty Sinnamon said in an interview on March 9 that the budget will be considered by council in a special meeting on March 22 at 9am.
