REID, Wayne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Reid, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 68. Wayne was the loving father of Steven Deforest, Lowanna Patterson, Ashley Smith, and Sabrina Reid. He was a proud grandfather to Sarah Lockhart, Izaak Wilks, Maddison Kostal, Dylan Patterson, and Hannah Kostal. He will be dearly missed by his many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Wayne left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was always the first to extend a helping hand to a neighbour, family member or friend. Wayne was hard working and enjoyed sharing his many skills by mentoring others. He loved spending time with family and friends, tinkering in his garage, and cruising around in his ’55 Chevy Bel Air. His mischievous smile, contagious laugh, and bear hugs will be forever missed. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, love of family, and the many memories shared with those who knew him best. Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to March of Dimes Canada or Diabetes Canada, if desired. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Wayne Reid on September 20, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Raging Bull Banquet Hall, 84 Lewis Road, Guelph, Ontario. Guests are invited to share memories and bring photos.
