Reconstruction of Highway 89 kicks off construction season
Roadwork - Reconstruction of Highway 89 (Queen Street East) kicks off construction season in Mount Forest this year. The much needed project was at last given the green light in March, when Wellington North council awarded Cox Construction the job for $3.63 million. The cost of the project increases from there once taxes and engineering fees are factored in, topping out at $4.08 million. The province is contributing $1.42 million of that cost as part of its Connecting Links Program.
