Puslinch Community Guide and Business Directory launches April 22

ABERFOYLE – Township staff are ready to launch the Puslinch Community Guide and Business Directory, and council got a preview at its meeting on April 10.

The guide includes lots of information about township services and how to connect with staff or rent township facilities.

There are also numbers for area hospitals, Hydro One, and conservation authorities with properties in Puslinch.

The business directory includes names, phone numbers and addresses of local businesses, organized in categories – agriculture, restaurants, construction, automotive – as well as list of local community groups and sports associations.

The guide was many months in the making, communications and committee coordinator Laura Emery told council, noting staff tried to include all businesses in the township.

“The guide looks awesome,” said Mayor James Seeley.

“I love, love, love, love, love it,” agreed councillor Jessica Goyda.

Launch day is April 22, when the guide will be posted on the township’s website banner and on the economic development webpage. Message about the guide will also be posted to the township’s social media accounts.

It will be mailed to residents in May, with reminders and QR codes distributed in the August tax bill.

The online directory will be updated quarterly, Emery said, so any new businesses can contact the township to be included and current businesses can update their details if they change.

The guide will also go to the newly formed economic development committee for its review.
