Public open house for Elora/Salem development cancelled

ELORA – The public open house slated for this evening has been cancelled due to bad weather.

The meeting regarding a proposed development for 273 townhouse units on Wellington Road 7 scheduled for Dec. 15 at the Elora Community Centre, will be rescheduled for some time in January.

Lynn Strachan, a consultant with the Junction Group, which is handling public engagement for the property owners, alerted the Advertiser to the cancellation early on Dec. 15.

The meeting is not the public meeting required by legislation but a voluntary invitation to the community by the developer to learn more about the project.

The township will also host a public meeting on the proposal at a later date.
