PRINGLE, Lucy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucy Anne Pringle (Sparry) who passed peacefully on at the age of 91 with her family at her side. Known to family and friends as Anne, mum, Granny or Great Granny. She is predeceased by her husband Bob Pringle, granddaughter Julie Owens, parents Alfred and Lucy Sparry, sister Margaret, brothers Bob, Jim, David and sisters-in-law Margaret and Jean. She leaves behind her children Lorrie (Mike) Tierney, Bryan (Lena) Pringle, Barb (Rick) Owens, Rhonda (Henry) VanGroningen, Darrell (Elizabeth) Pringle and Tammy Pringle. She was a Grandmother to: Michael (Deborah), Lesley (Evan), Matthew, Rob (Cristin), Carmel (Ryan), Laura (Matt), Joanna (Kevin), Katie (Taylor), Jacob, Ben (Robin), Erica (Donovan) and had 10 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elsie Pickett and sister-in-law Edna Ferguson. Her works of art in the form of knitted, crocheted, and embroidered Afghans, sweaters, socks, mitts, hats, Christmas stockings and so much more have left us all so grateful for the many gifts she shared. We are left in awe of her extraordinary talents. Her baking was the envy of many of us, her butter tarts being arguably the best. She was retired from the kitchen at Groves Memorial Hospital where she worked as a cook. She left this world as she lived, quietly with grace and dignity. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Groves Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A private interment and celebration of her life will be held for immediate family.
