FERGUS AND ELORA – Centre Wellington Native Plant Gardening (CWNPG) and both of Centre Wellington’s horticultural societies are hosting plant sales on the same day this year.

May 23 is now “Plant Sale Day” in Centre Wellington, happening from 8 to 11am for the horticultural societies, and from 8 to noon for CWNPG.

The CWNPG and the Elora & Salem Horticultural Society  sales will be located at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

CWNPG’s native plants will be located next to ECTFA’s native plant pollinator garden, so people can see the plants in action.

The Fergus and  District Horticultural Society  is hosting its plant sale at the Fergus Community Sportsplex.

This is the CWNPG’s first year hosting a plant sale; the majority of plants are last year’s winter sown seedlings.

The sale is part of CWNPG’s commitment to supporting native pollinators by increasing the amount of native plants in area gardens.

There will be several experienced native plant gardeners on site providing advice. Plants will be priced to sell. Buying five or more will cost just $3 a plant.

Money raised from the CWNPG sale will go towards the group’s 2026 native plant gardening projects.
