Performance day offers skaters chance to showcase their skills

PALMERSTON – The Harriston Skating Club hosted a performance day featuring skaters from the Harriston Skating Club and Skate Wallace on Jan. 21 at the Palmerston arena.

A total of 43 skaters participated in the event, which was designed to be fun and to provide skaters the experience of performing without the pressure of being judged.

Skaters in Can Skate 5, 6 and Star 1 and up showcased solos, create-a-skates, skate extreme (spins, shoot the duck, spirals and jumps) and stroking.
