Pedal for Portage goes virtual for 2020
Virtual pedal event - This year’s Pedal for Portage event went virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants are encouraged to walk, run or pedal for Portage from Sept. 14 to 20 on their own route, in their own time, in their own location.
In Centre Wellington a group of more than 30 gathered on Sept. 13 for the Welly Loop ride and raised more than $1,200 for Portage, a non-profit residential drug addiction rehabilitation centre for youth in Elora.
The Welly Loop goes between Fergus and Elora and takes about one hour to complete by bicycle.
