Paul Walker Memorial Golf Tournament slated for Aug. 14

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce is hosting the sixth Paul Walker Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 14 and registration is now open.

The tournament takes place at Wildwinds Golf Course. 

The day starts at 8am  with coffee and networking with a 9am tee off time.

Cost is $700 for a foursome or $180 for an individual and includes:

– 18 holes of golf plus power cart; 

– BBQ lunch with chips and drink;

– 19th hole social and  refreshments;

– steak dinner; and

– golfer passport including mulligans, feature holes, and on-course games.

Registration is limited to 72 golfers and is already 75 per cent sold out, officials say.

The Paul Walker Memorial Golf Tournament is in honour of “a champion for growth and change in Wellington County,” officials say. 

Walker was a lifelong volunteer, an integral part of the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce, longtime president of the Grand River Agricultural Society, and a strong advocate for the business community. 

He died in 2020, but started this golf tournament in 1999.

“In honour of his impact on this community, we invite you to participate in 2026,” officials say.
