Parade thanks

Dear Editor:

Last Thursday night was the 26th Annual Rockwood Farmers’ Parade of Lights. Thanks to the mild temperatures we had a record crowd with many new young faces watching the parade. Many people make the success of the parade possible.

We have incredible support from the staff and council of Guelph-Eramosa Township, the local OPP, Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department and neighbouring fire departments.

Also much thanks to Drexler Construction, Wellington Marketplace, Sunbelt Rentals, Denny’s Bus Lines and Chantler Environmental.

Several local farmers provide their fields for parking and the Brander Family generously let us use their farm for the start and end of the parade.

Finally, the committee appreciates the countless hours that the participants put into lighting up their farm equipment.

We thank Santa and Mrs. Claus for making their way from the North Pole to be with us. Merry Christmas! See you next Dec. 12.
