Palmerston Foodland’s holiday drive supports Palmerston Food Bank

Feeding those in need – Palmerston Foodland customers answered the call to support the Palmerston Food Bank during the holiday season, raising more than $6,000 through two fundraising campaigns. Foodland’s “donate at the checkout” campaign raised $4,421 and the store’s Brown Bag program, where customers can purchase a pre-packed bag of goods for the food bank, raised $1,865.

Both campaigns took place from mid-November to the end of December.

Palmerston Foodland owner Ron McTaggart, left, presented the proceeds on March 4 to Palmerston Food Bank officials, from left: Barb Burrows, Jennie Roubos and Linette Hibbs. Both Palmerston Foodland and the food bank expressed gratitude to the community for their continued support, especially during the pandemic.
