Palmerston cenotaph to remain where it is
After months of discussions, it looks like Palmerston’s cenotaph won’t be going anywhere.
Earlier this month, councillor Wayne Martin tabled a notice of motion before council that the Town of Minto keep the Palmerston cenotaph in its current location. Further, the motion recommended the site be enhanced in appearance with the assistance of all financial options and partners.
In addition, Martin provided council a written lists of ideas in which the site could be enhanced.
His motion will come to council for discussion Sept. 1.
