OECTA strikes – Wellington Catholic District School Board schools were closed on Jan. 21 as members of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) picketed as part of a province-wide, one-day strike. Teachers from throughout Wellington County picketed in front of the Fergus office of Wellington-Halton Hills MP Ted Arnott.
