Nursing home hosts family fun day
Residents, staff, family and volunteers shared in a family fun day celebration recently at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Harriston.
A barbecue luncheon, face painting, non-permanent tattooing, popcorn, and entertainment were all a part of the afternoon outside. Inside, everyone could check out the pies, cupcakes, and cookies on the bake table or any of the 70 items up for grabs on the toonie table.
At the end of the day, Melissa Wolske, Desirae Yeo-Ellis, Macy Dykstra and Amberly Yeo-Ellis helped Teresa Lubbers with the draws and were excited to learn resident Heather Plourde had won the quilt.
Proceeds from the day go to the residents committee to help fund activities.
