GUELPH – The Guelph Concert Band’s family friendly Northern Reveries – A Canadian Soundscape will be presented at the River Run Centre at 3pm on Feb. 23.
The show will present an array of delightful music by Canadian composers.
A premiere performance of The Royal City by Dan Austin will also be included.
The performance was inspired by four Guelph locations – the Basilica, Riverside Park, The Aboretum and McCrae House.
Special guests will be Canada’s premier folksinger James Gordon and the band of HMCS Star of Hamilton.
The concert is suitable for all ages.
A silent auction will be held in the front lobby before the show and during the intermission.
Copies of David Knight’s recent illustrated history of the Guelph Concert Band will be on sale for $15 cash.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door at the centre’s box office.
A discount is available for groups five or more.
