North Wellington Co-operative Services celebrates 75th anniversary
Special anniversary - North Wellington Co-operative Services celebrated its 75th anniversary on July 17 with a celebration at all of its locations - the head office in Harriston and branch offices in Mount Forest, Durham and Hanover. Sarel Smit, left, who as been manager at the Mount Forest branch for almost 10 years, took a break from working at lunchtime during the celebration to enjoy a hamburger served by Charlie Twiss, West Luther 4-H Beef Club leader, right. Looking on are Natalie Caldwell and her twin sister Hannah Caldwell, a member of the West Luther club. The girls said they are “nine-turning-10” years old.
