James Wilbert Norris of Harriston passed away at Caressant Care, Harriston on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in his 85th year. Husband of Agnes (Martin) Norris. Father of Carolyn O’Neal & Kelly Rupp of Cave Creek, AZ, Carl & Tamara Norris of Clifford, and Nathan & Dianne Norris of Harriston. Grandfather of Donovan O’Neal & Averie Anderson, Natalie O’Neal, Kyra Poddar-Kampmann & Cody Dyce, Nadine Norris, and Derek Norris. Brother of Fern & Jerry Witmer of Chilliwack, BC, and Leonard & Linda Norris of Listowel. Predeceased by brother William Norris & wife Vera, and by his parents Wilbert and Ada (Hill) Norris. Jim was a man of deep faith whose love for his family was at the heart of his life. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a farmer down to his very bones. He loved the land, loved his cows, and enjoyed his Allis-Chalmers tractors. Farming was more than a way of life for Jim—it was part of who he was. His quiet faith, love for his family and strong work ethic will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Caressant Care Nursing Home staff for looking after Jim so well over the past 4½ years. Your care is greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Interment will be held in Harriston Cemetery on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, followed by the funeral service at Harriston United Church at 1:30pm.
