NOBLE, Douglas George

of Drayton, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 7, 2026. He was born on July 24, 1959 in Palmerston, Ontario to George and Helen Noble (Kerr). Raised on a farm on the 10th of Minto, Doug was always known as the hardworking, responsible boy. Rather than taking over the family farm, Doug chose to work on farm equipment. After high school, Doug worked at Midwestern Equipment and then spent 34 years at Wallinga Inc. near Guelph, customizing large trucks. Doug is survived by his loving partner, Ann Buehler, and his siblings Brenda Zubick (Lane), Linda Noble (Ronnie), Joyce Manion (Paul), Murray Noble, and Sharon Hardie (Steve). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Curtis, Melissa, Nicole, Marcy, Ashley, Payton, Chris, and Becca. “Grandpa Doug” will be greatly missed by Josh, Ian, and Eric (and their parents Katie and Darren); Mason and Addison (and their parents Chris and Kim); Orson and Roscoe (and their parents Lyndsay and Dan). He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Ronnie, and Ann’s daughter, Dana. Doug was a man in motion who preferred to be busy and helping. He enjoyed keeping his lawn and gardens picture perfect and keeping his cars in like-new condition. He gave many hours of his time to supporting the work and community of Drayton United Church, serving as a Steward, helping with fundraiser dinners, building upgrades, and flowerbeds. He loved hosting and cooking and was skilled on the barbecue. He loved playing cards, especially euchre, and was often a lucky guy at the casino. He spent many mornings walking with his canine companion, Luna. To honour Doug’s wishes cremation has taken place. A service will be held in the Drayton United Church on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the Drayton United Church would be appreciated by the family.
