No transparency

Dear Editor:

RE: Town destroyed majority of records sought in FOI request for severance costs, May 9.

I put in a request for the same information as the Advertiser on May 26, 2017. I was denied!

If the Town of Erin had a policy of transparency, as Mayor Allan Alls promised in his election campaigns, the public would have had the severance totals long ago.

Now, not only have we paid unknown probably huge amounts of severance, but we have paid precious scarce tax dollars on Bay Street lawyers to prevent transparency. Shame on Erin Town Hall!

Mayor Alls should resign from the office of mayor. It seems obvious now that you never had any intention of fulfilling your promise of transparency to the taxpayers.
