PALMERSTON – No one was injured during a boiler fire on Tuesday at a local business.
Firefighters from Minto, Mapleton and Wellington North responded to the fire, at the Palmerston Industrial Park, at about 2:30pm on Sept. 9.
“(There was) no damage to the building and no injuries,” Minto Fire Chief Chris Harrow told the Advertiser in an email.
“It was not a major incident.”
Harrow was not on site during the fire, but spoke to crews afterwards.
“They had all three stations there because we were a little short staffed today, so needed some more people on scene,” he explained.
Based on the number of trucks and firefighters present, it may have “looked like a lot, but (it) turned out to be not much,” said Harrow.
