It looks like nearby neighbours are agreeable to Collaborative Structures Limited installing a large illuminated sign facing Highway 401.

Previously, councillors here requested proponents get written endorsement from nearby property owners before the municipality would agree to the sign bylaw exemption request.

On Jan. 9, those endorsements came in from property owners on either side of the Collaborative Structures Limited property.

Councillor Ken Roth wondered if there were a few more neighbours who should be contacted before a decision was made.

Mayor Dennis Lever noted that in the previous discussion, council had specifically requested letters from the neighbours to either side of the business.

Councillor Susan Fielding agreed. “I think [what was received] will fulfill what we asked for.

Council later agreed to the exemption.
