With a heavy heart, I am sharing that my beloved husband Larry Nickle passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, September 18, 2026. Larry is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; his children Bradley and Terry Nickle; his grandchildren Nicole Cameron (Alex), Brett Nickle (Victoria), Brock Nickle (Ashley) and Carter Nickle; as well as his great grandchildren Rowan, Evelyn and Clarke. He is also survived by his brother Albert Nickle. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Lottie Nickle; his siblings Doreen Sable (Julius), Helen Purcell, Evelyn Dunlop, Bernice Hurlbut (Bob), Roberta “Bobbi” Nickolls (Glen), Dennis Nickle (Gwen); and his granddaughter Brooklyn Nickle. Larry was a kind and caring soul. Everybody liked Larry. He had a wonderful sense of humour and he faced his health challenges with resilience and determination. He loved life on the farm and our horses. He felt blessed to be able to do something he loved every single day. A heartfelt thank you to the Avalon Care Centre for all the wonderful care and compassion shown to Larry. In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial donation can be made to a horse adoption or rescue facility and would be greatly appreciated.
