New hotel opens in Fergus
On March 10, councillor Mary Lloyd commented briefly on the grand opening of the new Best Western Plus hotel on Highway 6 in Fergus.
Lloyd said it was quite nice to see it open up.
She said there are 33 quality rooms available.
Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj also commented that she was able to tour the building with the owner.
“Kudos to them, because while they were not ready to open during a recent snowstorm - they opened their doors so that people would have a place to stay,” said Ross-Zuj.
“It was a really nice gesture on the owner’s part.”
