HILLSBURGH - The New General Store band is coming to Hillsburgh on Nov. 9.

The band combines great vocals, including three, four and occasionally five part harmonies, with dynamic instrumentals.

The repertoire ranges from traditional bluegrass, including gospel songs to country classics and “grassified” versions of pop songs.

The group is comprised of Gene Gouthro (mandolin), Helen Lewis (autoharp), Larry Miller (five-string banjo), John Perkins (bass) and Brian Riseborough (guitar) who are all long-time veterans of the Canadian bluegrass music scene.

The performance will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 83 Main Street in Hillsburgh on   Nov. 9 between 2 and 4pm.

Tickets are $20 and are available by calling Jo Fillery at 519-855-4274.
