New community profile unveiled

Centre Wellington’s new community profile is now available in print now and hopefully online in the near future.

On July 15, councillor Kirk McElwain said the economic development department is very proud to announce the completion of the new community profile.

Copies of the document were handed to councillors just prior to the meeting.

“It is meant to market our municipality to businesses, potential investors - Ontario and beyond,” said McElwain.

He added “we believed an updated community profile was a needed calling card.”

McElwain described the document “as a significant update” to the document prepared three to four years ago.

He pointed out contributions from over 22 businesses and community stakeholders.

“We think this is going to be a nice product to have with us going out into the community.”

The profile is anticipated to be posted online via the economic development portion of the Centre Wellington Township website.
