MOURNAHAN, James Hugh “Jim”
Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with family at his side at his residence in East Luther, Grand Valley. Beloved husband of Alice (nee Bryan) for 58 years. Devoted father to Janice (Lloyd Gibson), Brian and predeceased by son Allan (Kimberley). Proud grandfather of Dale (Heather), Jesse, Robyn (Jay), Cody (Brianne), Sheldon (Samantha) and Shawn. Lovingly remembered by great-grandchildren Cole, Chase, Teagan, Tyson and Trayden. Sadly missed by sisters Pearl White-Newson and Isabel (John Ireland). Predeceased by brother Leverne. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law June (Karl Watson) and his nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, June 6 at Simes Funeral Home, 48 Main St. S., Grand Valley from 7:30 – 9:00pm following a Masonic Lodge Service at 7:00pm and on Friday, June 7 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 8 at 11:00am at Monticello United Church, 401247 Dufferin County Rd. 15, Grand Valley, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RVH Foundation – Oncology Department or Monticello United Church, Grand Valley would be appreciated.
