RE: Local soaring club opposes location of proposed telecom tower, Oct. 1.
When I first saw the title of this article, I was really worried that another big company would just be coming in and ignore the needs of the community. But that wasn’t the case.
Rules in place so the community still has some control over where the tower goes. This is in the hope that towers won’t cause problems for those living in or using the area.
The support from the others outside of the club makes me happy as it shows the community has each other’s backs. I just hope that Xplornet listens to the suggestions of the club and community and moves it farther away from the airfield so that it’s safe to fly while still creating a stronger connection for the community.
