MORRISON, Rev. James “Jim” Ralph
Of Listowel passed away peacefully at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 7, 2026 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Shirley (Sauder) Morrison for 56 years. Dear father of James and Christen Morrison of Wheatley, Julie Frey of Gowanstown, the late Jeffrey David Morrison in infancy (1977) and Shelley and Jamie Bowes of Baden. Cherished grandfather of Evan, Justin, Elliana, Owen, Haley, Austin, Tori and Sasha. Brother of Marilyn and Len Gardecki, Dorothy Johnston and Jan and Art Wombwell and brother-in-law of Eileen Morrison, Ray Sauder and Tina Timmins, Marcia and Henry Martin and Carri and Mike Licata. Jim will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim is predeceased by his parents George and Marjorie (Simmons) Morrison, brothers Wayne Morrison and David Morrison, sister Ruth Rector and brothers-in-law Joe Rector and Ray Johnston. Jim has been honoured to serve as Pastor in congregations in Wingham and Coatsworth. He filled in as Pastor on many occasions in the Listowel and Harriston area and served in ministry at Kettle Point First Nation, Cat Lake First Nation and Fort Albany First Nation. The Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held in the Whites Road Pentecostal Church, 9171 Wellington County Road 5, Harriston, Ontario on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:30am. Friends and family are invited to stay for a luncheon and visitation in the fellowship hall at the conclusion of the service. The interment in Hollen Cemetery will take place after the luncheon. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Christian Aboriginal Fellowship of Canada, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada (Alaina Johnston), Living Walk (Jody and Rachael Rector) would be appreciated by the family.
