MORRISON, Brian

Brian Morrison was born on October 27, 1940 in Inverness, Scotland and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 8, 2026 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, Ontario. Brian was much loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Ellen, three children, Garry, Heather (Rick) and Graham (Dianne), and six grandchildren, Sarah, Sam (Rachita), Rebecca, Mackenzie (Ravyn), Calum (Bridget) and Brecken (Julia). Brian was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Guelph, ON. Brian loved to laugh, tell jokes and stories and could sing and play the accordion – he was a born entertainer. He cherished his time with his fellow Company 234 members when they entertained at seniors’ residences and hosted many Robbie Burns’ Suppers during years past. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home and Groves Memorial Community Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. A reception will follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brian’s name to Groves Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Brian Morrison in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
