Of Rothsay passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the age of 89. Beloved husband and partner of Shiela for 41 years. Dear father of Sandy Morden of Dundas, John and Cindy Morden of Thessalon, Kim and Ed Meulenbelt of Rothsay and Cliff and Laura McClain of Drayton. Proud grandfather of Marina, Darren, Tyson, Olivia, Johnny, Gracie Mae and Max. Great grandfather of Payton. Fondly remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews many friends and neighbours. Don was a lifetime farmer, potato producer and dairy farmer in Dundas as well as in Mapleton. Retiring to his Maple Lot for his hobby of restoring and collecting antique John Deere tractors and equipment. He loved to use his teams of horses during Maple Syrup season. Don was a traveler that was cruising the high seas or traveling the highways in his tractor trailer to exhibitions and shows across the continent. His favorite pastimes were ice skating and dancing. Please join the family for a celebration of Don’s life at the Moorefield Community Centre on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:00pm. After the service there will be a time of fellowship and music to continue to share memories of Don. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by family. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton.
