Of Lion’s Head, formerly Guelph, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the age of 72 after a battle with cancer. Predeceased by his wife of 28 years Ann Moffat (2009).  Loving father to Nancy Moffat (Barry Ford) and loving step-grandpa to Maxime and Zachary Ford. Predeceased by his parents Malcolm Moffat (2001) and Wilma (Watson) Moffat (2012). Predeceased by his brothers Don (2007) and Neil (2020). Survived by his sister Doris Devine (the late Jim, 2014), his sisters-in-law Dorene and Martha and his seven nieces and nephews. Dean will be dearly missed by his partner of the last 8 years, Margaret (Taylor) Urbshott. Margaret’s family also had the privilege of getting to know Dean’s kindness. He will be fondly remembered by Margaret’s children; Fred (deceased) and Carol Urbshott, Beth and Stephen Moore, Brian and Deb Urbshott, Carol and Dave Weir, Pauline Hepburn and Dean Livingston, Robert and Linda Urbshott, Joan Smith (deceased), and Margaret’s grandchildren. Dean was one in a million. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knows how truly special he was. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051/www.wallcustance.com Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Dean M. Moffat in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
