MITCHELL, Sylvia (Firth)
Our wonderful mother passed away on Friday, March 11th, 2022. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Cynthia (Bev) and sons Brent (Christine) and Trevor (Sharon). Adored by her grandchildren Olivia, Jessy (predeceased), Alexis and her great granddaughter Sofia. Predeceased by her husband Don and sister June (Ron). Dearly missed by her sister Norma (George). Sylvia will also be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Sylvia was full of life, kind hearted, generous and a mom to many. She saw potential in everyone and everything, whether it was her children, friends or an abandoned piece of furniture that she would lovingly restore. Her dream was to have an antique and home and garden shop. Sylvia opened ‘Past & Presents’ in Inglewood and later, for many years in Elora. Her creativity and design sense made her store one of the most loved in the area. Sylvia inherited her entrepreneurial spirit from her mom and dad who owned Firth Motorcycles on the Danforth in Toronto. She loved working in her father’s store and spent many happy hours riding her Excelsior motorcycle on the trails near her home. We will miss her sparkling blue eyes and her beautiful sunny smile. As always, “Love you more”. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice. A celebration of life for Sylvia will be held at a later date.
