MINTO – The Town of Minto is bringing back Minto’s Magical Holiday Towns, a series of festive experiences celebrating the holiday season in Minto’s communities.

“From Nov. 13 to Dec. 10,  visitors can enjoy Minto’s downtown areas transformed into enchanting winter wonderlands,” officials say.

This experience connects holiday events; a Bright Lights & Festive Nights holiday light trail in Palmerston; special shopping promotions, photo ops across Harriston, Clifford and Palmerston; and contests totaling over $1,800 in prizes.

“The holiday season is such a great time to get out and really explore what Minto has to offer,” states marketing and community development coordinator Erin Raftis in a press release.

“There’s so much going on in the communities, some great special offers at the businesses, so you can really get in the festive spirit.”

This year’s signature events will include the annual Light up the Park event on Nov. 13 and the Kris Kringle Market on Nov. 19 in Palmerston, Candy Canes & Cocktails on Nov. 27 in Harriston and Christmas in the Village on Nov. 28 in Clifford.

Alli Leis of QD Scrapworks was a vendor at a previous Candy Canes and Cocktails market.

Various local communities groups also offer a variety of seasonal events and activities, such as silent auctions, theatrical performances, parades, craft nights and more, open to residents and visitors to Minto.

Residents are encouraged  to seek out the Minto Magical Holiday Town’s pamphlet, which will outline several ways to enter to win $1,500 in prizes, such as entries for visiting downtown businesses in each community, passport contests and photo contests. And new this year, explore Minto via the Driftscape App to win. There will be an additional $300 in prizes for those who “Check-in to Win” at each of the signature holiday events.

For more information visit town.minto.on.ca/visitors/play/mintos-magical-holiday-towns to download the Holiday Passport to enter to win and to learn more about the various upcoming experiences in Minto.

Created to support local businesses and attract tourists, Minto’s Magical Holiday Towns aims to establish Minto as a must-visit holiday destination.

Town officials say the project will drive economic activity and bring joy to residents and visitors alike.
