The Town of Minto is conducting a review of the municipality’s strategic plan.

CAO Bill White gave council a presentation on the process at the Sept. 25 meeting.

White told the Advertiser the current strategic plan for the town was created in 2006 and amended in 2009.

“We’re about half-way through the initiatives in the old plan and, for a strategic plan, that’s a lot,” said White, adding, “We felt we should initiate at least a review of it.”

White said the town will be consulting with stakeholder groups over the next four to six weeks and will hold a public meeting before the end of the year, “to see if our vision and mission are still right.”

White said he anticipates a new or amended plan will be brought forward “sometime in the new year.”
