Minto Arts Gallery presents eighth annual juried show
HARRISTON – The Minto Arts Gallery is presenting its Juried Art Show this month.
Officials say it is a dynamic exhibit showcasing a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylics, oils, photography, felting, textiles, sculpture and mixed media.
“Featuring selected works from 49 talented artists, this exhibit highlights creativity, skill, and unique interpretations across mediums,” states a press release.
The Minto Juried Art Show is an annual event that features artists from across Ontario.
An awards reception will be held on May 7 from 6:30 to 8pm.

The winners will be announced at 7pm.
The awards, sponsored by the Minto Arts Council and private donors, include:
– first place: $200;
– best watercolour award: $200;
– second place: $150;
– third place: $100;
– best photography award: $100;
– best meadow press printmaking award: $100;
– viewers’ choice award: $50; and
– emerging artist award: $50;
The show will run from May 7 to 29 at the Minto Arts Gallery on the third floor of the Harriston Library (88 Mill St.).
Gallery hours are Tuesdays 6 to 8pm; Wednesdays 2 to 4pm; Thursdays 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm; Fridays 2 to 4pm; and Saturdays 11am to 1pm.
