MINTO – The Minto Arts Council had around 40 people in attendance for its grand opening of its new exhibition, A Stitch in Time, on Jan. 8 on the third floor of the Harriston branch of the Wellington County Library. The gallery will be open until Jan. 30 and consists of handmade quilts by Karen Carter of Wellington North and the embroidery work of Ann Haayema from Harriston. Carter received the grand Champion Hand Quilted Quilt award, which she said was her biggest achievement from the Ontario Association of Agriculture Societies in February 2025.
