Mimosa United Church hosting ‘Food for Thought’ dinner, lecture

BELWOOD – Returning for another year is the Mimosa United Church Food for Thought dinner and lectures to celebrate 100 years of union.

The theme follows the sights to see in Britain.

Dinner will be a free will offering to the church’s work at 6:30pm and the lectures are free.

The lectures are open for all to drop-in from 7:30 to 8:45pm.

To register for dinner call June Switzer at 519-855-4201 or jswitzer@sentex.net by the Saturday before each date.

Dates include:

Oct. 22, East Anglia, England and the West Country;

Oct. 29, London’s museums, parks and streets;

Nov. 5, Literary Britain, painters and sculptures; and

Nov. 12, Estates and gardens, seafaring Britain.

On Nov. 1 there will be a Pot Luck Murder Mystery starting at 6pm.

The church is located at 5980 Wellington Rd. 26, Belwood.
