MILLER, DR Douglas, DVM
Our beloved dad, Douglas Miller passed away peacefully in his 91st year at Wellington Terrace on November 27, 2023. Doug leaves behind his children Ken (Michelle) Miller and Patti (Steve) Anthony. Doug had five grandchildren, Jeff Sealey, Scott & Sarah Anthony, Keegan & Devon Miller. Also survived by two great grandchildren Wyatt and Grace. Doug was predeceased by his brother Terry Miller. Doug was born and raised in Fergus, graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1958. He built and was a partner in Wellington Veterinary Services in Elora. Dad was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, curling, golfing and good game of cards. Dad enjoyed early retirement and enjoyed all the things he loved to do. He was a quiet man of few words, loyal to his friends and family. His final gift was the donation of his body to the Human Anatomy program at the University of Guelph. We are grateful to the amazing staff in the Maple Unit at Wellington Terrace for the care given to our dad the past eleven months. We also wish to thank Highland Manor for contributing to dad’s quality of life as he resided there for nine years.
