Merry Makers bingo

The Clifford Merry Makers enjoyed several games of bingo at their meeting held April 3 at Jamesway Manor in Clifford.

President Irene Kaufman welcomed everyone and Dorothy Domm stepped to the piano to play O’Canada to begin the meeting.

Everyone was invited to the Fordwich Seniors meeting on May 7. Events of interest were mentioned and the board will meet to plan the Zone Rally.

Dorothy Domm read from The Voice about friends changing, forgiveness, and helping others.

Another story told of a farmer and his pups for sale and a little boy in a leg brace who only had 39 cents to his name. The farmer gave him a pup since there is no charge for love.

Program convenors Irene Kaufman and Shirley Murray pulled out the game box and a bag of prizes and let the balls roll for bingo.

Winners included Eleonora Munnik, Marion Wylie, Carol Reiner, Bonnie Whitehead, Joyce Yost, Ruby Bell, Lois Hawton, Irene Agla, Ethel Whitehead, and Gladys Zimmerman. In fact, Carol Reiner was lucky enough to win five of those 12 games.

Prizes included: a strainer, chocolates, scrubbie, juice, pasta, room spray, and more.

Many of the ladies headed to Greenley’s Restaurant for dinner and dessert following the meeting.

The next meeting will be held on May 1 with a presentation on a trip to Peru by Isabelle Zimmerman.
