MERCER, Betty
It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Mercer announce her passing this past Saturday, March 23rd. Betty died as she lived, with family at her side. Loving wife to Cliff for almost 59 years, having met 61 years ago in Nfld. Loving mother to Don (Lindsey), Ron (Lisa), Donna. Nanny to Brandi (Varant), Roni (Melanie), Deandra (Jamie), Laura, Emily. Great Nanny to Hovaughn, Henrik, Jaxen. Mom opened her home and heart to everyone, loved to entertain, and volunteered for years at Groves’ Memorial Hospital in Fergus. She enjoyed bingo, a good game of cards, and competing with Cliff in matches and darts and shuffleboard. Betty was daughter to Don (1977) and Stella (2001) Tucker, and loving sister to Graham, Olga, Ruth, Clarence, and Gordon. Predeceased by Randolph, Art, and Wilson. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James Anglican Church, Fergus. Visitation: Saturday, March 30th, 11:00am at St. James Anglican Church, 171 Queen St. E., Fergus. Funeral: Saturday, March 30th, 12:00pm at St. James Anglican Church, with reception to follow. Internment will be at a later date.
