Menu and hours at arena snack bar could be cut

Local parks and recreation manager Graham Smith, believes less could mean more when it comes to the viability of the arena and theatre snack bar at Centre 2000.

He proposed for the remainder of 2012, hours be cut about an hour a day for the ice season and for the first four months of the 2012-13 ice season.

He suggested cutting number of menu items - such as fewer brands of soft drinks, Gatorade, chips, chocolate bars, and hot food items.

“Although our snack bar is still a needed service in our facility, I feel with the proper changes we can still generate an ‘on paper’ profit.”
