MELANSON, Trudy (nee Locke)

Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the age of 94. Beloved mother of Chris Melanson, Jayne Patch (Kevin), and Don Melanson. Cherished grandmother of Cole Melanson, Emma Melanson, Matthew Drummond (Melissa Kunej), Megan Patch (Stephen Gage), James Melanson (Erin Harlow), and Adam Melanson (Erin Devenny). Proud great-grandmother of Evelyn Drummond, Mason Gage, Isla Melanson, Jaci Melanson, Lucas Melanson, and Callum Melanson. Trudy’s family was the heart of her life. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Visitation took place on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 10:00am – 12:00pm, at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus. A funeral service followed in the chapel at 12:00pm. Interment followed at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Thornhill. In memory of Trudy, donations to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation or St. Joseph Parish in Fergus would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Graham A.
