Mel Kreller celebrates 99th birthday with visit from friends

99 years - Family and friends of Mel Kreller took to the streets of Clifford, or more precisely, Allan Street East, on July 2 to surprise Mel and his wife Helen with a drive-by visitation in celebration of his 99th birthday. There were balloons on the lawn and a sign that read, “Honk for Mel’s 99th.” Al Rams appeared wearing his official chauffeur’s hat to take Mel for a ride in his limousine. Mel’s morning coffee club crew were also on hand. Mel and his wife Helen celebrated with chocolate cake. Submitted photo
