MCNIVEN, Don

After a life well lived Don McNiven passed away peacefully in his 80th year at Hospice Wellington in Guelph on December 8th 2019. He is survived by his partner Shirley Scott, her daughter Caroline and son in law Scott - their children Kyle and Erin. Daughter Susan and her children Jason and Alison. Alison’s husband Chris and their children Braden and Myla. Loving sister (fellow bridge life master) Marjorie. Her children Stephanie, Johnathan and Elizabeth. Stephanie’s children Hannah and Mallory. Jonathan’s children Nathan and Rachel. Elizabeth’s husband TJ and their children Lula and Adara. Loving sister Sandra and her husband Ashley. Their son Jeremy and his wife Chris and children Chelsie, Carter and Abby. Don was very active in his community. He was a Rotarian, volunteer with several community theatres, driver for VON - cancer society - and community resource group. He also ran the local bridge club and taught literally hundreds of people his favorite game. Always with a smile and a kind word  - that was Don. We appreciate the respectful care given by Hospice Wellington. Donations may be made in Don’s memory to: Hospice Wellington, MS Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
