MCLEISH, Sheryl (Blue) “Sherry”
Passed away on May 4, 2019 at her residence in Elora surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Although she suffered with her disease for a long time, she looked forward to, and her strength allowed her to reach her 75th birthday which she celebrated with family several weeks before her death. Beloved wife and best friend of Bruce for 53 years. Proud mother of Jamie (Susan). Grandma of Darren and Johnna. Sister of Bonnie (the late Larry Scales) and Heather (Andy) Grant. Sister-in-law of Dr. William McLeish (Tonia). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Sherry was born to Clare and Erma Blue and grew up in Hanover, Ontario. Sherry excelled at looking after her family. Sherry’s outgoing personality made it easy for her to form lasting friendships while enjoying family life in Ridgeway, Woodstock, Jarvis, Port Rowan, Straffordville, Harrow, and Elora. A Celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at the Lighthouse Restaurant, 7445 Wellington County Road 21, Elora on Sunday, May 26th, 2019 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Words of remembrance will begin at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sherry’s memory may be made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, ON.
